Writing Scheduel!

Posted by Kacii on Saturday, March 10, 2012, In : Random
First off, how the hell do you spell schduel? Is it schedual, skedule, schedule, schduel, or am I completely off? It's one of those things you never learn how to spell. Well, for me it is. Sure, I can spell hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia in my sleep, but scheduel? No, no way on Earth.
Anyways, since I've been trying to write a million things at once and I end up not having time to write a single thing I thought I should come up with a scheduel (however that word is spelled). So h...

Okay first off: Diana's pregnant? Did she learn nothing in Sex Ed about birth control?

Second: Is Little Pete actually dead, or did he just go poof?

Third: Will they ever get out of the FAYZ?

So I'm a total idiot for not reading this book like a year ago when it actually came out. My parents had limited me to how many books I could buy. My friends always complain that I am not a normal human being, prefering the company of books rather than actual li...

See the thing about being sick and stuck at home is that you through a lot of books. I had to order a whole new set because I've read every book in my house and I'm coughing my head off so I can't go to school. I don't like TV all that much so I resort to books.

This book happens to be pretty good, though without a doubt cliched. But thats okay, I like cliched books. Most of the books in my library are cliched vampire and werewolf nove...

I think I should've read this book before 'Shatter Me' since I read it the day after... well, I guess I didn't appriciate it as much. I knew how it was going to end because I couldn't resist a peek at some of the other peoples reviews (very bad Kacii!).

I did really like, I kind of wished that Ren didn't die because of his sister and because Calla should've given him a fair chance. I really wished they'd had sex, but unfortunately genies only gr...

Oh.My.Freaking.Holy.Jesus.God. This has to be the best book I have ever read, and I've read quite a few books. This was so different than I expected it to be. It was amazing. Awesome. Epic. {through in uber-cool adjectives here}

I mean, I knew that I would probably like, especially considering it sounded a lot like X-Men and my favorite character in X-Men is Rogue. But this was a dystopian novel, and those I usually don't dig. But I truly loved...

I don't know if anyone is reading this, or if I'm just humoring myself by having this blog for my followers to check up on my work and updates. Some people might think 'why bother?'
Well I can't argue with your reasoning there, though I do hope that I'm not just writing to myself. Talk about a loner. And hopefully if you are reading this than I either wowed you with my writing or friended you with my charm. Maybe you just want to poke around my life and don't care about either.

ohmyfreakingod. Okay, so most faerie books I read are good, and I like them well enough, but this is... I can't describe it, I'm at loss for words. I've always preferred fallen angel stories to most paranormal stories, but recently the tables have turned.

Now I like Draki (from Sophie Jordan's Firelight series), fallen angels (Lauren Kate's Fallen Saga), Guardians [aka werewolves (from Andrea Cremer's Nightshade trilogy)], the water horses[who ...

The Scorpio RacesThe Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read both the faerie books and the werewolf books by this author, and both are thrilling and a good read, but I think nothing compares to The Scorpio Races.

This book was original, so there was no precedent of what to expect in my mind. I think this is one of my favorite books of all time, even though I only recently finished it and I've only read it once.

When I first heard the story's plotline I didn't think it was a very int...

Joshua Files Invisible CityJoshua Files Invisible City by M.G. Harris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In MG Harris's first installment of the Joshua Files series, 'Invisible City' sets off a good precedent. A thirteen year-old boy names Joshua, or Josh as his friends call him, investigates the disappearance of his father. The police report said that Josh's dad had been killed when his plane crashed, but Josh thinks otherwise.

Josh delves into the mystery of his father’s disappearance and experiences several pulse-pounding and ...

I honestly think this is one of the best vampire books I have ever read. A friend of mine recommended it to me, se's one of the only people I know in person who reads the same genre as me and feels extremely passionate about the same sorts of books.

This book is unique in a way that the origin of the vampires is different, and the vampires themselves have a different name. The conflict within the story is complicated, because you're payi...

This is one of my favorite books, and it's not just the epic love story that enticed me as a reader to keep reading,it was the abnormal creature choice. These days most people hear of Vampires and Werewolves, not so much of the other. Faeries, Shape-Shifters, Werewolves, Vampires, Fallen Angels, Witches and Wizards, and other paranormals of the nether, they all have nothing on this story.

I think this is the only book I have ever read about dra...

C'est Fini!

Posted by Kacii on Saturday, August 13, 2011, In : Writing
I think that's French for 'it's finished!' though I could be wrong because my French is terrible, even though I love certain words in the language.
Anywho, I have finished The Ghost Of My Dead Soulmate! It's two hours long, and like I said, it's a sort-of short story. I think it's called a novella. I suck at making really short stories but I'm okay at the two-hour long ones. I either have too much to write, or too little. This is one of the second.
    But anyway, it's finished, and I m...

The Ghost Of My Dead Soulmate

Well, we've all heard of soulmates. I have never actually written about something like soulmates or ghosts before, so this will be interesting, if not for you then for me.
You will find some info about The Ghost Of My Dead Soulmate in the short stories page. It's not going to be a novel, but it's not going to be a two-page story either. But it's going to be shorter than I would usually do.

The cover, below:

Hmm, so lately I've re-thought my idea of Syren. I think I will continue writing it. Well, I already have. I just published another chapter. But if your too lazy to see it then here it is:

I felt sick to my stomach. Kelly believed her. Kelly believed that the Syren was telling the truth. He believed that… monster over his faith in me. But really, I was to blame for that. All of those images were true.

But she only showed part of the truth. The demon. She didn’...

I had no clue what to name this post, so as usual when I don't know what to name something I look around me. I could've choosen something like citris hand sanitizer, or acrylic paint/ peinture acrylique/ pintura acrilico. I also happened to find some very sparkly pink lip gloss.
Now I am not a fan of make-up for the most part. Nail polish, I'm your girl. But I rarely wear much make-up. When I do wear make up it is usually only a small tad of eyeliner, since my eyes are my best features...

The Mourning of Chapter Twelve and Crackle Nail Polish

A very sad thing happened on Friday, May 27th, 2011. There were a few electricans in my house and when they played hookey with the power, my chapter twelve for Falling Parallel died. This saddens me a lot because I didn't have time to save it on Microsoft Word.
So for the past few days I've been searching through my computer but not finding it. Normally it autosaves even if it's not saved. I even had my tech-y uncle come over, only no one found it.

Just Lazy Old Me

Actually... I'm not old. But I feel like I am. I'm just so tired all the time. I think it's because of the weird conversations I have with my 'dirty' friends. Emphasis on dirty.
Not to mention its the end of the year, and honestly, I just can't wait to sit still all day and do nothing. Well, maybe pig out on ice cream or something, but nothing exciting.

Okay! So I'm happy to say that 'Falling Parallel' has made a nice start. I think it's got twelve likes so far, which might not seem like a lot, but it means a lot to me. I didn't know how people were going to react to Falling Parallel. It's rough and rushed, only a rough draft.
So now that I know that I'm not going to delete it because of it's different personality as a story, I can relax and start to think about what comes next.
I have a huge problem, actually. With Syren I'm start...

Have you ever tried juggling three novels at once? Yes? No? Gave up? Yeah well, that's what I'm doing now. I'm writing two stories on Figment, and one in my writing notebook.
I'm writing Syren, and once I finish Syren I will start on the Immortals Curse; I'm writing Falling Parallel, which if it turns out the way I have it set out in my head I will turn it into a series or saga or something; lastly, I have Protector, which I havn't even published on Figment yet.

Falling Parallel

Okay, so I've just added the chapter after the one you would want to kill me about. In Syren, that is. I feel exhausted. 2,755 words in three hours. I'm not a slow typer, I am just easily distracted. Anywho, I think I have come up with a temporary name for the story about parallel universes. As you've probably guessed, it's temporary name is 'Falling Parallel.'
But oh my God I'm exhausted. I don't know if I can write much more today. And surprisingly hungry. There's not a lot of vegeta...

Okay, for those of you who have been reading Syren, and have just read the chapter 'Love?' you probably hate my guts right now. How could I end it like that? How could I just leave the reader wondering what on earth is gonna happen next? Are Lily and Amias going to make up? Or are they going to follow the snowball effect, letting there problems increse and go down hill>
Well I'm keeping my mouth shut on this one. I have to say, I didn't intend for there to be a fight between Lily and A...

So I have this idea, and I really love this idea, and I want to turn it into a short story/novel-in-progress. But I don't want to get distracted from writing Syren. I'm not used to writing more than one thing at once, but right now, I'm writing two things already.
You who read my novels know I'm writing Syren, while simutaneously editing Kidnapped and Dark Kiss. Oh, I just remembered something interesting, well, it might not be interesting to you, but I don't know. Dark Kiss was named ...

Love?

Posted by Kacii on Sunday, April 24, 2011, In : Backround Info
So, while being on vacation, at the beach, at the amusement park, I've noticed a lot of happy couples. It's weird, to say that I have, admittedly, observed these happy couples like lab rats, therefore making them highly uncomfortable. It's almost like I'm a mad scientist observing a specimen.
So I really thought I should do a chapter about Lily and Amias, and their feelings for each other. Because to be honest, I sort of stuffed them together. It was lust that sort of made them be mate...

About Me

Kacii What's to say? I love to read, write, cook, and eat hot sauce from the bottle. I spend most of my time traveling and either making up novel idea and occassionally writing them, or daydreaming about world where the impossible is reality. My mind is a huge multitasker, but it cannot handle mathmatics. I love mythology and have been brought up learning about other cultures myths and legends. The real world is a dull place to be, I'd rather live a fantasy. :D
